Are you ready for another season of the one and only Reacher? Because we sure as hell are. Lead actor Alan Ritchson sat down to talk business about the season 3.Alan Ritchson gives first details about Reacher Season 3 | © Prime Video
Reacher has been a huge success for Amazon Prime, not only because the books tell great stories to adapt, but also because lead actor Alan Ritchson does a great job of portraying the mysterious hunk serving justice.
The third season of the show is on its way now, so it only makes sense for Ritchson to tease his next foe a little bit. The actor sat down with Comicbook to talk about what’s coming up next. If you’ve read Persuader , you’ll already know what’s in store for Season 3 – if you haven’t or need a reminder, we’ve got you covered.
Season 3 Will Be “A New World” & Details About Reacher’s New Villain
Alan Ritchson told Comicbook to prepare for Reacher entering yet another “new world” – that’s something we’re quite familiar with at this point. Reacher always finds himself in completely new situations in each season (or book!), so that doesn’t come as a huge surprise. Still, his next foe seems extra shady this time around.
The villain in question? Zachary Beck, a wealthy businessman with a legitimate business. Of course, that won’t do for a foe: he is deeply involved in a smuggling ring, dealing in drugs and illegal weapons and his business is more of a cover-up. He also has a connection to Quinn, which is of particular interest to Reacher.
Beck will be played by Anthony Michael Hall, and he shared a little bit more about his antagonist:
The character is Zachary Beck, and on the surface, he’s like a kingpin of wholesale drug dealing. But the truth is that it’s a front; it’s a cover for something a little seedier. The intro to this third season is that Reacher basically saved my son’s ass. He’s getting roughed up by what we think are a bunch of townies, but ultimately it’s a dirtier group of people. […] Reacher will be working for him, but as you know, he’s kind of a double agent.
Again, Reacher will find himself in a complicated web of lies, conspiracies and his new foe Beck kind of blurs the lines between victim and perpetrator in the criminal underworld – at the end of the day, Beck could lead Reacher to Quinn, which is the most important part.
