Former NFL player Gosder Cherilus found himself in handcuffs and arrested over the weekend over a disgusting act.
The 2008 first-round pick was on a Delta flight headed to Dublin when the airline said he acted in an “unruly” manner after he allegedly urinated on a passenger during a flight.
The Delta flight returned to Boston because of his actions as police later identified the 40-year-old Gosder Cherilus of Wakefield.
Once the plane landed, Cherilus was angry and uncooperative when asked to leave the plane, and now he is facing charges of disorderly conduct and disturbing a flight crew.
Police told Boston 25 News that Cherilus was arrested for disorderly conduct.
“Delta flight 154 from Boston to Dublin on August 17 returned to Boston Logan due to an unruly customer and was met by law enforcement,” a Delta spokesperson told the Boston outlet. “Delta has zero tolerance for unlawful behavior and will cooperate with law enforcement to that end. We apologize to our customers for the delay in their travel.”
The other passengers boarded a plane to Ireland on Sunday night.
In Gosder Cherilus’ first eight seasons, out of the 117 games he played, he started in 113 of them.

Gosder Cherilus is a former first-round pick who played for the Detroit Lions from 2008 to 2012. He was selected as the No. 17 overall pick out of Boston College.
As a rookie, Cherilus became a starter on the offensive line in his third game. He appeared in 16 games and started 13, per Wikipedia.
The following season, he would start all of the regular season games except for one.
Things changed in 2010 when Gosder Cherilus started the first 12 games before suffering a season-ending knee injury.
After starting in all 16 games in the 2012 season, Gosder Cherilus would take his talents to the Indianapolis Colts and sign a $35 million contract that made him the highest-paid right tackle at the time.
