He first underwent a double hip replacement in 2016, followed by spinal surgery in 2022 after years of back issues, including a trapped sciatic nerve.

Just two months after that surgery, Eamonn fell down the stairs of his Surrey home and broke his shoulder, requiring another operation. As part of his recovery he also had a spine and neck stretching procedure, and he’s been using a walker to help him get around at various events. lime

Eamonn wrote on Sunday (July 7): “Hard to stand up but next my aim is to walk. Off to a birthday party today. What about you?” In the accompanying snap, Eamonn stood leaning against a door, dressed in a navy blue jumper and white chinos. lime

He added a pair of blue suede trainers and clutched his glasses in one hand while grinning at the camera – but fans were quick to spot an apparent Photoshop fail in the picture. On Eamonn’s left side, the doorway seemed to be wavy – a sure sign something had been edited.
