MEGHAN Markle’s uncle has revealed his distress at not being invited to the royal wedding and said he would have walked her down the aisle.

Michael Markle, a former US diplomat, was “surprised” he didn’t make the guest list and branded his exclusion a “snub” by the Royal Family.

His younger brother, Thomas Markle, 74, dramatically pulled out of the wedding after suffering a heart attack.

Prince Charles was forced to step in last minute and give Meghan away at the service.

In the months after the wedding members of the Markle tribe complained marrying into royalty has made the former suits become too distant.

Michael, 78, the latest Markle to speak out, suffers from Parkinson’s disease but claims it wouldn’t have prevented him being by her side at the ceremony.

He told the Sunday Mirror he had “done more for her” over the years than anyone else and said he would have mustered the strength to be with her.

On attending the wedding he said proudly: “Sure, I could have, if it was co-ordinated. Yes, I would have done it.”

Michael said he was surprised when he didn’t get an invitation and speculated The Duchess of Sussex was instructed to not make exceptions with family invites.

He said: “I thought I would [have been invited]. But anyhow, I didn’t hear from her.

“And I don’t know how much the Royal Family had influence on her or not. They didn’t accept anyone else so they couldn’t make an exception for me.”

The only member of Meghan’s family who supported her on the day was her mum Doria Ragland, 61.

Since the wedding, Thomas and others in the Markle family have slung a barrage of insults at the Royals for supposedly blocking them out of Meghan’s life.

As the row intensified, Thomas revealed intimate details of conversations with Harry, 33, and likened the Royal Family to Scientologists over their “cult-like” secrecy.

And Meghan’s half-sister Samantha Markle has said in TV interviews she’s “disappointed” with the Duchess for not reaching out to her family in the US.

Michael has insisted he is the only member of the Markle family who has shown loyalty to Meghan during the ongoing disputes.

He claimed his connections helped Meghan bag a prestigious internship at the American embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, when she was 20.

He said: “I’ve done more for her than the others. I’ve probably done more for her than most. I personally talked to the ambassador in Argentina for her.”

Michael previously said Megahn’s attitude towards him was “uncalled for”.

Speaking before the wedding he said: “Michael said: “I’ve done more for her than the others. I’ve probably done more for her than most. I personally talked to the ambassador in Argentina for her.”

Kensington Palace declined to comment when approached by The Sun Online.
