FORMER Dancing With The Stars host Samantha Harris has revealed that she has breast cancer.

On Wednesday, the DWTS host from 2006 to 2009 announced the scary news in a post shared on social media.

Samantha shared a lengthy video explaining her second diagnosis on Instagram.

She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014.

In it, the star sat in front of cream-colored curtains with a small floral bouquet in a vase and her book, Your Healthiest Healthy on display.

Her book helps those achieve their health goals and was released in 2008 – she also has a podcast of the same name.

She began, “I have some health news that I need to share that I never thought I would be sharing again in my lifetime.

“I have a recurrence of breast cancer and I feel so fortunate to have been able to guide, support, and lead so many of you in your healthiest healthy community and I will continue to do so.

“I will fight on and I will be okay.

“I am so grateful for my family and my close friends and as I lean on them I also reach out to lean on you during this time.

“I will continue to share more as my treatment plan unravels and I’ll see you soon,” she concluded.

‘THE STRONGEST PERSON I KNOW’

Fans flooded her comment section with well wishes and positive vibes.

“You’re the strongest person I know and I couldn’t be more proud of you or love you more than I already do!” one wrote.

A second added, “Samantha, you’ve been such a positive influence for this community and encouraging others and we will continue to do the same for you.”

“I am here for you day or night. You are never alone and we will all get through this together!!!” exclaimed a third.

A fourth mentioned, “Just another hurtle you’ll overcome!!”

“Keep fighting! We are all with you,” said a fifth.

Someone else wrote, “I am so incredibly sorry to hear this, BUT if anyone can get to the other side of this, it is YOU.

“You are armed with so much power, strength & wisdom.”

HER FIRST DIAGNOSIS

Samantha was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014.

At the time, she was just 40 years old and had her first mammogram – which was clear.

More than a week later, she noticed that she felt a lump on her breast and was assured by professionals that it wasn’t something to worry about.

“[That] inner voice was just screaming at me to have this ‘nothing lump’ looked at by someone who looks at breasts every day and knows what to look for,” she told Healthline in 2023.

She then explained that she went to see a surgical oncologist, who also ran some tests and didn’t find the lump to be cancerous.

After the test results came back, it alerted doctors that Samantha had stage 1 hormone receptor-positive breast cancer.

The type of cancer she has is a tumor that grows because of either the hormones estrogen or progesterone.

Samantha then described what she learned during her journey.

“We must be our best own healthcare advocates and we need to know our bodies better than anyone else,” she said.
