Justin Timberlake had a pricey wristwatch, a vape pen, and over $300 in cash on him when he was arrested on DWI charges on eastern Long Island in June.
Authorities found the pop star, 43, in possession of the vape, a Rolex, a gold ring, and a wallet with $306 in cash when he was placed in handcuffs in Sag Harbor on June 18, according to the Daily Mail.
Timberlake refused to take a breathalyzer after he blew through a stop sign near the swanky American Hotel, and responding officer Michael Arkinson subsequently had him booked at the Sag Harbor Village Police Department.
The “Sexy Back” crooner claimed that had just “one martini” with friends – but he failed a series of field sobriety tests and showed multiple signs of intoxication, including poor balance and an inability to follow instructions, according to the police report.
The former NSYNC heartthrob was supposedly following a woman and her husband back to their home when he was nabbed by the cops.
Though the couple apparently tried to get Timberlake out of the debacle, the cops insisted on booking him – though they let the woman drive his BMW home.
Timberlake’s lawyers have since alleged that the woman was drinking with the star all night, and that the cops’ inability to clock her own supposed drunkenness meant they did not truly evaluate the singer, either.
Timberlake’s attorney, Edward Burke Jr., has repeatedly denied that his client was drunk at the time of his arrest.
The “police made a number of very significant errors in this case,” he told Page Six.
Timberlake – who is currently on the European leg of his world tour – pleaded not guilty at a second arraignment last week.
Justice Carl Irace suspended the dad of two’s license, and reprimanded Burke for “irresponsible” comments about the investigation.
The judge also threatened the attorney with a gag order if he continued to blab to the press.
