The NBA’s 2023-24 season has officially come to an end, with the Boston Celtics hoisting the Larry O’Brien after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 4-1 in the series. Boston has been dominant all season, and that continued in Game 5 with a 106-88 victory.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown secured the first rings of their career, while Luka Doncic will have to wait another year. Doncic willed his team to the Finals at 25 years old, leading the league with 33.9 points this season as an MVP candidate.
He may not have ended the year on his terms, but the young superstar showed that he’s just scratching the surface of his NBA career.
“He’s one of the best players in the world… For him, at the age of 25, to get to the Finals… Now he just has to be consistent and always be in the talk for MVP,” said Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd via ClutchPoints on X.
