The fans were being difficult to Utah Jazz’s Keyonte George as they went up against the Memphis Grizzlies in the Summer League on Monday. To shut the doubters, the point guard stepped up for the Jazz and hit the final shots to snatch the win.

Following the game, Keyonte was seen walking towards the courtside fans saying, “All that motherf*cking talking… yeahhhhhhh.” While playing the game, the opponent fans were taking jibe at him and he answered them back with his free throws.

When the two teams were running on a 95-95 overtime tie, Keyonte got the opportunity to hit free throws, and he made the most of it. The 20-year-old hit both the shots accurately on target, taking the 2-point lead.

Since the Jazz reached 7 points in the OT before the Grizzlies, as the Summer League rules, they were announced the winners. Thanks to the 30-point contribution of Keyonte coupled with four rebounds and assists each on 5-for-21 shooting from the floor.

The other player to shine in the game was Zach Edey, who was guarding the rim so well that he remarkably blocked a shot of Scotty Pippen Jr. However, Keyonte stole the show, displaying glimpses of his potential as he did in his rookie season.

Looking Back at Keyonte George’s Rookie Year

Last year, Keyonte George was drafted by the Utah Jazz as the 16th pick. Right after his arrival, the budding talent switched his position from shooting guard to point guard to fit into head coach Will Hardy’s team.

Keyonte might not have impressed with his overall statistics, but he succeeded in showcasing sparks of his outstanding skills in the regular season. He finished with an average of 13 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game while recording a career-high 30 points against the Thunder.

The Western team ended up in the 12th spot in the 2023-24 season. But with Keyonte’s hard work and some new additions next season, the franchise could hope for a better result.
