While the Women’s USA team is off in Paris participating for a possible gold medal at the Olympics, Caitlin Clark remains in the States enjoying a long break. The Indiana Fever star recently went viral though after being spotted making a huge donation to Des Moines students in need.
Clark donated 350 Nike backpacks filled with school supplies to kids in the Des Moines area through the Caitlin Clark Foundation, according to Keith Murphy of WHO 13 News. Some of the kids took selfies with the Fever star and all of them had a big smile on their faces accepting the donation.
The video received plenty of attention on social media as it quickly went viral. Through two hours on X, formerly known as Twitter, the video has accumulated over 140,000 views, 4,000 likes, and 500 re-posts. Clark once again causes a buzz online and this time it’s for a great cause.
Not only is she a superstar on the court but she’s proving to be a woman for the people as well. Giving back to the community in which she grew up in is a great way help her biggest supporters.

Clark’s donation generated numerous happy reactions as well. Many of her fans loved seeing the Fever star giving back to the community. Especially children in need of school supplies with school starting soon. It’s just a great way for Des Moines students to prepare for the new school year.
We should see plenty more donations like these over the next several years.

Clark does it again!
We won’t see Clark hit the court again until Friday, August 16 when the Fever take on the Phoenix Mercury. The WNBA paused the regular season for a short time due to the 2024 Summer Olympics. Numerous stars of the league are participating this year, including Sabrina Ionescu, Kelsey Plum, Breanna Stewart, and A’Ja Wilson.
Clark has been solid throughout her rookie season as she’s made plenty of noise so far. The last game she played in, Clark broke the WNBA single-game record for assists, recording 19 dimes against the Dallas Wings.
The Fever star is in the mix for Rookie of the Year and is the favorite to win the award. This season, Clark has averaged 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game.
