Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are one of the most glamorous couples in Hollywood.

The past year might not have been the best for the fans of some of the other celebrity couples, such as Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn, and Joe Jonas and Sophia Turner, but fans who have been rooting for Affleck and Lopez for decades won in 2022, and keep winning every time the couple beats the relationship issue rumors.

While it has been a relief that Lopez and Affleck are still going strong despite the rough patches they allegedly hit sometimes, recently, a new issue has come to light and this one might be here to stay. An insider has revealed that the On the Floor singer is dismayed by her husband still seeking advice from his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

Jennifer Lopez‘s history with the Good Will Hunting star dates back to the early 2000s when they almost got married in 2003 (via PEOPLE). However, the huge amount of public and media attention they had attracted negatively impacted their relationship and they separated in 2004, much to the disappointment of millions of fans.

Following this, Affleck began dating Jennifer Garner and they were married from 2005 to 2018. 3 years after his divorce from the 13 Going On 30 star, Affleck began dating Lopez again and married her in Las Vegas in 2022 (via Variety). Even so, the Armageddon director is still close with Garner with whom he shares three kids.

A source has recently revealed to InTouch Weekly that The Adam Project actress is worried about her ex-husband’s well-being amidst his issues with JLo, and the Jenny from the Block songstress is not thrilled about it. The source said

Everyone knows that Ben and Jen remained very close after their divorce. He confides in Jen about everything, even his issues with J. Lo. J. Lo hates that Ben goes back to his sensible, down-to-earth ex-wife for advice and emotional support. She doesn’t want Jen’s input.

Reportedly, Lopez has not confronted Garner about it personally, but she has made her objection known to Affleck who let the Alias actress know about it. However, Garner is unwilling to compromise the Gone Girl actor’s well-being even if it means getting with Lopez on the wrong foot.

The source claimed that Garner wants to ensure that Affleck does not slip back into his old habits of gambling and substance abuse because of the pressure that comes with his marriage to Lopez. The Juno actress is allegedly willing to do whatever it takes to ensure his well-being that because he is still the father of their three children.

Jen can’t stand by and do nothing. That’s not in her nature. She has dropped everything to make sure Ben doesn’t spiral out of control again. 

Affleck and Lopez doubtlessly make a great couple, but their past issues bubbling back to the surface are not something that has gone unnoticed. Their relationship troubles have not been any less in the limelight than their romance. The fact that The Accountant star is not a fan of the public attention he gets on his wife’s side is no secret.
