Germany’s Alicia Schmidt has been dubbed as the ‘World’s sexiest athlete’ and has immense following on social media, especially Instagram. Schmidt was part of the German athletics team at the Paris Olympics 2024 which finished in 7th place in the women’s 4x400m relay event and failed to qualify for the final.
However, Alicia still went viral on social media. The German star, who has over 5.6 million followers on Instagram, and her three companions ran 3:26.95, while Jamaica won the heat in 3:24.92.
News went viral on Instagram, saying, “Alica Schmidt, World’s Sexiest Olympian athlete revealed she hooked up with everyone at Olympics.”
However, we can confirm that the news is not true afterall. The Instagram page that posted this news is actually a meme page that posts funny content.
Alicia and her German Olympian teammates hit the dance floor in Paris and Alicia posted pictures of her night out with her teammates. Schmidt was invited to Team Germany’s end of Paris Olympics 2024 celebration held at rugby ground Stade Jean-Bouin in Paris.
The athlete gave her 5.6 million Instagram followers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the luxury event. Germany’s medal winners were then brought up to the stage before the champagne bottles were opened. The venue in Paris was transformed into a nightclub as Schmidt danced with her athletics pals.
Meanwhile, after racing in the 4x400m mixed relay at the Paris Olympics, German sprinter Jean Paul Bredau questioned the choice to choose Schmidt over his girlfriend – Luna Bulmahn. Bredau eventually apologized for his remarks, but Bulmahn expressed her displeasure on social media and was withdrawn from the squad before the women’s relay.
When asked about Bulmahn’s departure, Schmidt said, “The decision was not made by us, but by the board and the coaches. That was probably the best decision for the team. We trust the coaches.”
