Love Island will air dramatic scenes on Sunday night as host Maya Jama brings jaw-dropping news to the villa.

The cast are left reeling with what Maya has to say, hours after she was reportedly stopped from returning to the villa in a filming shake-up.

According to reports, Maya had arrived in Majorca for filming after the public vote opened earlier this week.

But instead of us seeing a dumping in the days that followed, viewers were shown all the drama in the fallout to an awkward challenge and a bombshell’s arrival. Viewers will not see the next exit or exits until Sunday at least, if not Monday.

This is because filming was apparently scrapped with a last-minute change, said to be down to the high drama unfolding in the villa.

But the time has come, and at the end of the episode a preview for Sunday night showed her back and ready to go.

In the clip, Maya struts her way back to the famous villa ready to drop some huge news on the unsuspecting cast. As she walks in and greets them all, there’s gasps and shocked faces.

Maya then gathers all of the Islanders around the firepit, ready to shake things up. She’s heard saying: “Hello my loves,” before she prepares to announce the viewers’ decision.

It will no doubt see one or more Islanders dropped from the show, just after fans were tasked with voting for their favourite couples.

Narrator Iain Stirling had warned that the couples with the fewest votes would be at risk of getting booted off the show.

It comes following the apparent delay in filming the scenes, with fans noticing the latest arrival happens in daylight and not in the evening.

A source said: “Following the explosive suck and blow game on Wednesday – shown on Thursday night – basically there is so much going on with the Islanders, execs decided to just let it all play out.
