Former San Antonio Spurs forward DeMar DeRozan made a cameo in a Kendrick Lamar video.
JULY 4 DEMAR SHOWS LOVE TO COMPTON IN RAP VIDEO Last month, DeMar DeRozan attended Compton, California native Kendrick Lamar’s Juneteenth event, the Pop Out. During the three-hour concert, which featured performances by Dr. Dre and Tyler the Creator, Lamar shook the crowd by playing “Not Like Us” five consecutive times.
“Not Like Us” is a widespread and infectious diss record aimed at music superstar Drake. The former San Antonio Spurs forward did the unthinkable by seemingly betraying Drake in showing love for a fellow Compton native.
Following his California roots, DeRozan appeared in the ‘Not Like Us’ music’ video.
Lamar rapped, “I’m glad DeRoz came home, ya’ll didn’t deserve him either,” a diss to Drake, referring to the Toronto Raptors trading DeRozan.
While DeRozan hasn’t commented on his loyalty, his actions say everything.

JULY 4 DEMAR AGAIN? DeMar DeRozan, after 15 seasons in the NBA, is right now arguably the best free agent remaining on the market. And the six-time All-Star is the subject of a rumor that connects him to the Spurs – the team he played for back in 2018 to 2021.
This year, he finished with averages of 24.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.1 steals per contest … still top-notch stuff that figures to make him coveted … with Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald reporting an update on DeRozan’s situation.
Via Jackson: “Kings have talked to Bulls about DeRozan sign and trade, per source. Spurs also now another possibility. Despite DeRozan interest in Miami, Heat not in position to give him what he’s seeking at this time… Heat will hope opportunity on some player it wants arises this summer.”
The Spurs have 2024 Rookie of The Year Victor Wembanyama as the centerpiece and now Chris Paul is coming aboard … and maybe another vet, too?
