Mike Tyson’s threat to Logan Paul has re-emerged after the WWE wrestler put himself forward as a potential replacement to fight his brother Jake Paul. Tyson was scheduled to fight Jake at the 80,000-capacity AT&T Stadium in Texas in what would have been his first professional boxing match since 2005.

A year before Tyson agreed to take on ‘the Problem Child’, the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world said he’d fancy taking on Logan in a boxing match. At the time, his eyes lit up when asked if he fancied taking on the elder Paul, who has previously had an exhibition fight with Floyd Mayweather.

Unlike Jake, Logan does not have a professional boxing record and has only fought on influencer boxing brand Misfits, with his last fight coming against Dillon Danis in a chaotic and controversial evening at the AO Arena in Manchester.

Tyson had some strong words for Logan Paul, hinting at a potential clash not in the boxing ring but in the WWE arena. Despite agreeing to a boxing match with the 30-year-old YouTube sensation, Tyson expressed his willingness to take on Paul, who currently holds the title of WWE’s United States champion, in the wrestling ring.

“I would do it! ” Tyson declared to Forbes about the possibility of fighting Paul. “I would kick his f***ing a**, yes I would do it.

“Even though I love him, though. This is what I found out about WrestleMania: Everybody says, ‘That’s fake, that’s fake.’ But the cheque is real. Deep down inside, don’t let them know, I would do this for free.”

Despite the hype, fans were left disappointed as neither a boxing nor wrestling match came to fruition between Tyson and the ‘Impaulsive’ podcast host. Paul has offered to replace Tyson in a fight against his own brother after the 57-year-old withdrew from their scheduled July 20 bout due to health issues.

The much-anticipated event was supposed to happen at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, but Tyson had to cancel following an ulcer flare-up during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles, which caused him nausea and dizziness, reports the Mirror.

Paul took to Twitter on Saturday (June 1) to challenge his brother Jake. He posted: “So Mike Tyson’s out? I’ll step in and we can settle this once and for all”.

It’s unknown what Jake Paul is set to do next for the July 20 card

The tweet has since been viewed over 6.5 million times at the time of writing. Jake responded with a playful threat, saying: “Mom doesn’t want me to KO you but f*** it. Loser has to change their last name.”

The seriousness of Logan’s offer is yet to be confirmed. However, the brothers’ rivalry has been evident recently, with Jake expressing his irritation when Logan claimed he had declined the chance to fight Tyson before MVP founder secured a deal to fight the 57-year-old.
