*NSYNC Reunites Again (Without Justin Timberlake) at Deadpool & Wolverine Premiere in New York City

The boy band’s iconic song “Bye Bye Bye” appears on the official soundtrack for the third film in the franchise

*NSYNC got (most of) the band back together — again!

On Monday, July 22, nearly a year after their surprise musical reunion for Trolls Band Together, the iconic boy band reunited — without Justin Timberlake, who’s on tour in Europe — once more at the New York City premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine, the third Deadpool movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

Band members JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone posed together on the red carpet Monday night, and while most of them wore neutral outfits, Kirkpatrick, 52, sported a couple pops of Deadpool red over an all-black look.

*NSYNC’s latest reunion coincides with their famous 2000 hit “Bye Bye Bye” getting featured on the official Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the event, Kirkpatrick spoke about the possibility of more new *NSYNC music arriving in the future — as well as a proper reunion tour. “Well, we’ve been talking about it for a while,” he said. “We’re kicking the tires, seeing if the car will still drive, and, you know, we’ll see where it leads.”

Since the climax of their epic ’90s/early 2000s reign, the band has gotten together a handful of times over the years — including at Timberlake’s Video Vanguard Award performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, their 2018 Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony and Coachella 2019.

However, they re-emerged again at the 2023 VMAs last September, just weeks before releasing their Trolls Band Together song “Better Place” — the group’s first track together in over two decades.

Months later, Timberlake, 43, brought the band together again during a one-night-only show in Los Angeles on March 13, which marked their first live performance since 2013. The legendary group treated fans to classic hits like “It’s Gonna Be Me” and “Gone.” They also performed an *NSYNC-assisted track called “Paradise,” featured on Timberlake’s latest album, Everything I Thought It Was.

Following their 2023 reunion, Fatone, 47, teased to PEOPLE that an *NSYNC tour could potentially happen in the future, saying, “You know what? Never say never. I think we have to honestly have a sit-down and have a conversation.”

“There’s been talks about, ‘Do we want to do something?’ and ‘How are we gonna do it?’ But nothing’s in motion yet,” the bandmate continued. “So, I’ll say never say never, but I’m not saying no, and I’m not saying yes. But we still have to have that conversation. It looks promising.”

Bass, 45, also spoke of *NSYNC’s resurgence, adding, “I hope the future of the band is fun. I hope we find something that we can do together.”
