Taylor Swift concert engagement couple go viral after sweet moment caught on camera

Taylor herself said the moment was ‘huge’ and fans have flooded the ‘gorgeous’ couple with support at the happy news.

Taylor Swift fans were clearly feeling the love during the first night of the Eras Tour in Edinburgh last night – as one ‘gorgeous’ couple got engaged during the concert.

The spontaneous proposal happened as Taylor sung Cardigan from the Folklore era, with the couple embracing and looking overjoyed as fans around them cheered in support.

The sweet moment was even spotted by the pop star herself, who said that the moment was ‘huge’ and that she had seen the whole thing unfold in the crowd.

The couple was seen kissing and hugging as Taylor sung the outro of Cardigan, with smiles and tears of happiness flowing after the question was popped.

And after the song had finished, the pop star offered her own words of support to the couple. She said: “I love performing this entire show so much, cause I’m pretty sure I just saw someone get engaged.”

As cheers erupted, she continued: “You have no idea. I never get to see that, cause it’s, like, dark, usually at night. But it’s not right now, so congratulations! I saw the whole thing!

“Thanks for doing that at my concert. Huge.”

After the sweet clip was shared on X by @TheErasTourUK, fans were quick to congratulate the newly-engaged couple on their happy news.

One said: “I love how they didnt clock for a while because they were taking their moment in.”

Another gushed: “Awww that’s beautiful.”

A third wrote: “Imagine Taylor Swift giving you an engagement shout out during the Eras Tour. I would literally pass out.”

And a fourth penned: “Imagine having Taylor Swift’s blessing over your engagement, goals.”

The Eras Tour in Edinburgh continues tonight, June 8, with thousands more fans heading to Murrayfield to watch the record-breaking show.
