The Florida Panthers’ Stanley Cup win last night confirmed the final details of a few trade conditions, including Vladimir Tarasenko and Kyle Okposo’s deals.

The 2023-24 NHL season offiially ended last night with the Panthers beating the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

The outcome of the game had implications on multiple deals that occured at the last trade deadline.

Florida’s general manager Bill Zito added a lot of interesting players, including Kyle Okposo and Vladimir Tarasenko. However, now that tehy won the Stanley Cup, Zito will need to pay more than he orginally did.

The 2024 7th round pick that the Panthers sent to the Buffalo Sabres for Kyle Okposo will become a 5th round pick; while the 2024 4th round pick that the Ottawa Senators received for Vladimir Tarasenko will become a 5th round pick,

Another update regarding the Edmonton Oilers’ trade with the Anaheim Ducks for Adam Henrique emerged.

The Ducks will get a 2025 5th round pick, which won’t upgrade to a 4th round pick:
