NBA (DR) / Olympics (DR)

Recently on the Impaulsive podcast , Kevin Durant spoke about various topics somewhat removed from basketball and notably cited… Rihanna. Something he did again in the hours that followed with a brilliant comparison.

While the vast majority of NBA members consider basketball a passion, Kevin Durant makes it a real religion.

In any case, it is the image of an orange ball obsessed person that he sends to fans, he who has already stated that he does not really have any other hobbies.

Despite this, he remains able to evoke many subjects related to his sport and to deliver in this case remarkable statements.

This is what he was asked to do several times during his recent appearance on the Impaulsive podcast .

Asked by Logan Paul about his level of concentration during his matches, he had to reveal how much the presence of a celebrity on the sidelines can affect him.

A question to which he answered in the most honest way possible:

Kevin Durant: When Rihanna walks up to the edge of the court, it’s hard not to notice her. Seriously, it’s the same with all the fresh chicks, bro.

Because yes, aside from basketball, women are among the interests of the Suns star winger. To the point of becoming a weakness? That would be to misunderstand him.

Kevin Durant not intimidated by Rihanna ‘threat’

Just days after this confession about Rihanna, Durant was again called upon to mention her on the show Up & Adams .

This, at the initiative of its host, Kay Adams, who fears that Team USA’s opponents at the Paris Olympics will use the famous artist as a means to destabilize the American armada.

A fear that the Slim Reaper was however quick to dispel philosophically:

Kay Adams: When I try to imagine what Team USA’s weakness might be, the only thing I can think of is Rihanna! I’m kind of worried that Drake, who’s rooting for Canada, is going to call Rihanna and ask her to come to Paris and sit courtside to distract you.

Kevin Durant: Distract me? Nope, no way. I don’t think that’s an option you can use to distract us. I think at this point, Rihanna is less terrifying than complacency.

If we come to Paris, rely only on our status in the NBA and don’t put more intensity than our opponents in our games, that’s how we might not win. It’s as simple as that.

No matter how talented you are and how good you are, if you don’t give your best, you’re going to hit a wall. But nothing will disrupt what we want to do as a team.

Seemingly invincible, could Team USA and its stars fail at the Olympics simply because of the presence of Rihanna or a celebrity at one of their matches? Kevin Durant assures us that they won’t and prefers to be more wary of overconfidence.
