While attempting a block during the Indiana Fever’s matchup against the Atlanta Dream on Monday, Caitlin Clark hit Jordin Canada on the head as she drove to the basket for a layup. Reacting to the incident, WNBA fans called out hypocrisy on the matter as Clark was previously alleged to be a target of hard fouls in the league.

“So let this be proof that Caitlin Clark commits these type of fouls too. Going for the block but hits Jordin Canada upside the head,” a fan tweeted.

“How this wasn’t reviewed to me is bogus. If roles were reversed, it would have been replayed everywhere 100x,” a fan tweeted.

Caitlin Clark has previously been on the receiving end of various hard fouls in the league. While she’s often reported to be allegedly resented by the members of the WNBA, Clark has always maintained the stance of the league being highly physical wherein such incidents can easily occur without any ill intention.

Caitlin Clark overcomes major injury scare to help Fever to victory

Caitlin Clark got a major injury scare during the first quarter of the Indiana Fever’s matchup against the Atlanta Dream on Monday. The star rookie rolled her ankle during a defensive play and immediately went down on the floor, holding her ankle in pain before exiting the game. However, she returned to the floor in the second quarter after being examined by the Fever’s medical staff.

The game concluded with the Fever clinching an 84-79 home win over the Dream to climb to a 14-16 record for the season. Caitlin Clark recorded 19 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block in the win while shooting 6-of-14 from the field, including 4-of-9 from deep.

Meanwhile, Jordin Canada recorded 10 points, two rebounds and six assists for the Dream as they fell to 10-19 on the season with their second consecutive loss.
